Wallenstein Gardens

The early Baroque garden, with its monumental salla terrena, was established in 1623 - 1629. One of the most beautiful palace gardens in Central Europe, its magnificent pomposity was to have rivalled the Royal Gardens
of Prague Castle. The gardens include fountains and a grotto (artificial cave), as well as another attraction worth seeing, copies of statues by A. de Vries, whose originals were taken away by the Swedish army at the end of
the Thirty Years War.
