Troja Chateau

The most beautiful example of Roman Classicism north of the Alps, the building is exceptionally rich in artistic treasures. The grand hall with its Apotheosis of the Habsburgs, by the Dutch painter, Abraham Godin, is truly amazing. The chateau is also home to a remarkable exhibition of 19th century Czech painting, which is a must-see on your visit. Paintings by J. Čermák, V. Brožík, J. Mařák, F. Ženíšek, V. Hynais, and others, are part of the golden fund of Czech painting. The most beautiful Italian-style gardens in Central Europe, that surround the chateau, are also worth a visit.
