It was built on founda tions of the early Gothic cathedral of the Holy Ghost in the course of the years 1679 - 1689. The extensive fresco of the Last Judgment of the year 1722, which you can see in the dome vault, constitutes one of the most beautiful works of V. V. Reiner, the Czech Baroque painter.
