In originally Cistercian monastery founded by Czech king Wenceslas II in 1292, the cemetery of Přemyslids dynasty was placed. In the 18th century, the monastery was reconstructed according to the design of J. B. Santini-Aichl and F. M. Kaňka and it became a representative Baroque mansion. Today, it hosts an extensive and unique collection of oriental art showing the works from Japan, China, Tibet, India and southeast Asia.
