The exposition located in a newly adapted building of the former monastery and church of St. Mary Magdalena is divided into seventeen sections. You will discover historical musical instruments of the 18th to the 20th centuries, including piano of young Bedřich Smetana or grand piano that was used by Ferenc Liszt during his concerts in Prague. You will see Renaissance and early Baroque jewels, including famous “Rožmberk band”, valuable violins produced by world craftsmen, including works of Nikola Amati, as well as examples of mechanical musical instruments, such as flute clock, barrel organ and orchestrion.
